MSA’s PrimaX IR® Gas Transmitter delivers combustible gas detection (hydrocarbons) through a patented IR dual source design, which, for being redundant, reduces the chance of failures and provides higher reliability and uninterrupted monitoring.

Furthermore, the possibility of obscurations due to rain, fog, dirt, dust, and other environmental conditions is minimized due to the dual source Infrared (IR) design. The electronic circuit and the optical system were optimized to obtain a high-quality signal, resulting in low-cost installation and maintenance product with extraordinary stability.

Ultima® X Series Gas Monitors

The Ultima X series offers state-of-the-art gas monitors for continuous detection and monitoring of the concentration of oxygen and a great variety of flammable and toxic gases.. They are microprocessor-based transmitters designed to operate individually or connected to control systems and interchangeable, smart, and precalibrated sensors for immediate installation. These sensors have electronics incorporated into the sensor cell, which records the characteristics of that cell such as monitored gas, scale, alarm levels, and calibration data. MSA’s patented technology makes it possible to change the sensor without using tools, allowing all sensors to be quickly and easily replaced in field, even in hazardous areas without the need to turn off the equipment or declassify the area.

The IR5500 is an open path infrared (IR) gas detector that continuously monitors for flammable gas leaks over large open areas. It monitors in both the LEL-m and ppm-m ranges to detect both small and large leaks. The IR5500 offers the benefits of early detection with its high sensitivity to gas concentrations at the ppm levels.  This feature allows it to alarm faster than an LEL-only detector. Digital display and adjustable mounting arms ensure easy alignment. Factory calibrated for low-maintenance operation.

The Laser-Based Senscient ELDS Open Path Gas Detector is the best solution against false alarms. The Senscient ELDS laser-based Open Path gas detector is available for a wide range of toxic and flammable gases. GasGard® XL Controller

MSA’s GasGard XL is a multi-channel control system that monitors for toxic gases, oxygen, combustible gases, and flame in industrial environments. The Controller can be easily configured to accept up to eight remote gas and/or flame sensors depending on the number of individual plug-in input cards installed. The equipment has a large graphic LCD display with intuitive icons and all channels shown at a glance. Thanks to its exclusive design, the GasGard XL can be easily and reliably installed and connected.

SUPREMATouch® Controller

The SupremaTouch control system offers a new standard in fire and gas detection technology. It provides signal processing for up to 256 inputs, 512 relay outputs, and 256 analog outputs. For being compatible with several types of detectors, it ensures that the user is warned in an emergency. SupremaTouch manages analog 4-20 mA signals (gas and flame), fire (smoke, heat, etc.), passive sensors (LIE), and to discrete signals (contacts); it is also compatible with Advance Electronics fire control panels to connect addressable detectors. With its easily configurable system, it is possible to add input signals and quickly connect them to the proper output without the need for any programming skills. The user interface can be done with the color touchscreen with innovative graphic interface (GUI) or USB Interface for easy configuration/parameterization by using the SUPREMA Manager software.

FL500 UV/IR Flame Detector

The FL500 UVIR Flame Detector delivers high-speed flame detection with increased false alarm immunity in a compact design. This UV/IR combination monitors for radiation emitted by a flame in both the ultraviolet (UV) and infrared (IR) spectral ranges for reliable protection.

FlameGard® 5 MSIR Flame Detector

MSA’s FlameGard® 5 MSIR Detector is an advanced multi-spectrum flame detector designed to provide superior false alarm immunity with the widest field of view. The detector employs a state-of-the-art multi-spectrum infrared (MSIR) sensor array with a sophisticated Neural Network Technology (NNT) system. The NNT flame detection algorithm classifies the output signals of the MSIR sensor array as being flame or not. This MSIR/NNT combination is highly immune to false alarms caused by lightning, arc welding, hot objects, and other sources of radiation.

FL500-H2 UV/IR Flame Detector for Hydrogen Applications

The FL500-H2 is an ultraviolet/infrared flame detector designed specifically to detect hydrogen (H2) fires. The FL500-H2 optical flame detector monitors for radiation emitted by a hydrogen flame in both the ultraviolet (UV) and infrared (IR) spectral ranges. This UV/IR combination provides a fast response time and increased false alarm immunity against sources of radiation for reliable protection.

Observer® i Ultrasonic Gas Leak Detector

Instantly detect pressurized gas leaks with this high-precision, omni-direction acoustic detector utilizing Gassonic ultrasonic technology. Works even when traditional methods of gas detection are unsuitable or dependent on ventilation. Features Artificial Neural  Network (ANN) technology that distinguishes between real gas leaks and false  alarm sources without requiring any in-field training. The Observer® i UGLD provides an industry-leading detection range (up to 28 m) reducing the number of detectors required. Ideal for use in complex outdoor pipeline systems.

Calibration Kits

Despite the great stability of MSA’s fixed detectors, they should be calibrated periodically to ensure proper operation. With the MSA calibration kits, it is possible to calibrate the fixed detectors in simple, ease, and quick manner. With a wide variety of gases to choose from, it is possible to calibrate any sensor sold by MSA in a practical way. The calibration kits include pressure/flow regulator, flexible connection hose and adapters, all housed in a foam cradle case, making it easy to transport to the job site.
